Brilliant. Legislating in exactly the wrong direction.

“to make clear that the states public universities can ban guns in student dorm rooms.”
It worked so well in Virginia everyone should do it.

There generally is not a need to have weapons on a university campus, and I believe the prominent belief is that having weapons does not contribute to the campus atmosphere in a positive way, she said. Generally there isn't a "need", but when you have a deranged sociopath hellbent on killing as many people as he can, it would be nice if he weren't the only person in the building that is armed.

Every college student in La should stay home next week.

In reaction to the Virginia Tech shooting spree, a Louisiana state lawmaker and higher education officials plan to unveil legislation Wednesday (April 18) to make clear that the states public universities can ban guns in student dorm rooms. Do we even need to bother to tell him that guns were banned on the Tech campus?
To: Ellesu
He pulled the same crap in 2003...
it was SHOT down... pun intended...
To: Lee'sGhost
I suggest a law that no bill, related to a tragedy can be introduced before all the victims are buried.
To: Ellesu
Hell, do away with dorms, put them all in military style barracks and run daily shakedown inspections!
