You said to another poster — “If you feel it’s necessary to make a public statement like this about two people who have just been murdered, shouldn’t you support it with fact?

Shouldn’t you also explain your reason for mentioning it at all?”

He doesn’t have any facts to base that upon. It’s *pure speculation* and nothing more. You can see my post # 89 where I answer that.

You said — “What are you, the thought police?”

Don’t worry, he won’t bother you if he’s the “thought police”. You have to have thoughts in the first place...

"THIS is the face of the girl who may have sparked the worst school shooting in US history."

What an offensive statement. His own sick mind sparked the shooting. The blame game is out of hand to have sunk this low down.

You said — “Going further towards my unhealthy-fixation/stalker theory -CNN is airing an interview by the gunman’s rooommates from last year, who are claiming the kid stalked no less than three girls.”

Yep, stalker would fit well here, too. It’s pretty obvious that they had “some kind” of relationship. She probably said she didn’t want to do anything more in the future and that probably precipitated the argument.

And the fact that he may have stalked others, could mean that he was getting fed up with “this process” that he found himself in before. Therefore, *this time* he was going to make sure it was different. And that’s what he did — made it different than the times before...

I couldn’t care less what you THINK, but posting unfounded accusations or anything less than factual behavior on a public forum about two innocent murder victims is something I think is less than respectful.

I see Tarasoff failure to warn liability.

IIRC Tarasoff relates only to the duty of a psychiatrist to reveal a known threat to a specific individual by a patient.

Jude, are you joining in the circling sharks on this one? Looking for deep pockets and potential clients? If so, then I guess you have learned well in law school.

There is one responsible party in this mess and he is dead. Nobody else knew or could have known that this guy was going to go off and pop 50 students.

But the lawsuits are coming. The sharks are circling. There is blood on the campus and even more blood in the water.

Lawyers earn their bad reputations. The litigation on this one will make the litigation in Bleak House seem trifle.

I can only imagine how much it would hurt - in addition to the hurt which loved ones of these innocent young people are already feeling - to read an accusation like that on a public forum.

BTW, I’m female. :-)

By the way, you don’t have to look under a rock for Al Qaida. When they come, they’ll be coming in plain sight...

Interesting opinion, but you seem to disagree with Herr Bin Laden.

Judging from the PDs mistaken belief that this was some big love triangle, I wouldnt say the victims were found that far apart.

You said — “Interesting opinion, but you seem to disagree with Herr Bin Laden.”

Well, they tell us everything that they’re gonna do. It’s not a state secret. They seem to relish in telling us ahead of time. The only problem is that no one wants to believe them.

I read bin Ladin’s statement about how it was the duty of every Muslim to kill the Americans. I read it back in 1999. That fatwa is still published on the net if you want to read it. They had hearings in Congress. Heck, they talked the whole thing to death.

Yep, they’re coming in plain sight. It’s just that everyone has their hands over their eyes saying the mantra — “they’re a religion of peace, they’re a religion of peace, they’re a religion.... boom!”

End of story...

Man..., you just don’t have any reading comprehension. Go back and read that article again. The RA wasn’t around when he was first called in to mediate. Then the guy went off in a big huff. He then *returned*. At the time he returned the RA was not around.

He shot the girl. The RA, apparently being alerted by the commotion or the shooting, came out of his room. He was shot right then.

You need to read things a bit closer.

Or else — it would appear that you’re intentionally clouding the issue for the sake of creating a rumor that doesn’t exist in fact. You have no facts or eyewitnesses or news reports to back it up.

Everything is so sketchy at this point. The press briefing they gave today told very little...intentionally. If it was possible to be non-committal on something, they were non-committal on it.

Probably as it should be, but at this point the facts are so limited that it’s hard to work up a Geraldo/Shep level of outrage toward anyone other than the shooter.

Your method of deductive reasoning is intriguing.

IIRC Tarasoff relates only to the duty of a psychiatrist to reveal a known threat to a specific individual by a patient.

Good point. In some states (it doesn't appear Virginia is one of them), Tarasoff liability extends even to unidentified victims.

Jude, are you joining in the circling sharks on this one? Looking for deep pockets and potential clients?

If Virginia Tech acted negligently, they should pay at lest some damages - at least medical bills and lost wages for the injured, and some sort of wrongful death for the deceased. Specificially, if Virigina Tech knew or should have known that Cho Seung-Hui posed a danger to their students, they should have intervened. Consider the warning signs Virginia Tech knew or should have known:

Tarasoff failure....sharks circling

The trial lawyers will have a tough one this time.

Liberal lawyers suing a liberal educational institution....do you think the universe will implode?

I think it violates Rule 1541(c)(1) of the Liberal Agenda.
