Actually there are media laws in Canada, where they have to include “Canadian content”... including the Canadian killed is adding the “Canadian Content”...

How did he get into college?
Aren't you interviewed or something by a counselor?
And (though I haven't read this, but assume .. ) after 3 plus years ... NOone saw anything strange?
This guy should have been on the boards instead of in general population.

Sounds like the roommate is very lucky to be alive.

“Maybe, just maybe, we should be talking about some of those issues of depression, social isolation”
He does fit the profile.
The news says he was on anti-depressants, too.

There is no Canadian content requirement in newspaper stories. Unfortunately there is for tv and radio programming.

It's a state university, so probably not. Usually just the "elite" universities like Harvard and Yale require interviews, definitely not by a psychologist, and sanity probably counts against the applicant in any case.

They would have included that anyway, just as any US newspaper would mention any Americans killed in their reporting if this tragedy had happened in another country.

Ya be careful - I resemble that remark ;-)

There’s one roommate who’s happy he’s alive, I’ll bet. Mine just aggravated the heck out of me, borrowed my clothes, wrecked my shoes, never let me sleep, and were, in general, a real pain. I can now have something else to be thankful for — they weren’t homicidal maniacs. See there’s always something to be grateful about.

Age 23 - came here in 1992 to “study English”..? - At age 8?
So what was he doing between 1992 and 2007 - had to have gone thru the US (Virginia?) public school system (grades 3 thru 12)...
I have seen no details on this

I had a chinese national roommate that was the exact same way ... loved the guy because he never bothered me.
His phone calls from china at 0300 were the only sticking point.

I thought it applied to newspapers as well...
I’m aware of the other media as I am a Canadian citizen...

I just read that.
I've concluded from his words that he got his degree from DU while attending VT.
How did he get in?
Is this the result of quota's?
Those poor kids gunned down for this piece of shit.
I gutta' go puke.

“Bedtime Stories for Wednesday and Puxley Adams” it seems, and nobody noticed. They must have — he was on antidepressants. Don’t some of the newer drugs have dangerous side effects like violent homicidal/suicidal tendencies? Hm...m...m...
To: VRWCTexan
Looks like he was very quiet and played
basketball a lot.

“If he had not been able to purchase an automatic weapon in a supermarket, he would probably be researching Mothers Day presents right now, and maybe sipping an dult beverage with pizza.”
I WANT nuts like this, if they feel they must rampage, to try it with a gun. Because a person THAT angry WILL do something. Remember the happy Land nut-case: He killed 90 people with a few gallons of gasoline. The Happy Land fruit cakes kill ratio in time and dead bodies puts Cho’s 32 in the shade. Well into the shade.
