South Koreans have mandatory military service for men over 18. It’s likely Cho learned his stuff there.
South Korea, what a great ally she is.
The Foreign Ministry wasting no time in playing the race victim card!
I guess they must be thinking about all the Arabs randomly attacked in the street by Americans after 9/11 - oh wait, that didn't happen!
HAHAHAHAHA!!!
So much for the left’s non-stereotypes! He’s Asian, he must be CHINESE! I try to tell my young children that not all asian people are Chinese, but they are but children. The media, well... maybe they are but children as well.
Have they announced yet what mosque he attends?
Va Tech has been doing a good job of clearing his name from their directory.

I wish that someone would ask Hincker about this statement he made earlier this week, concerning the General Assembly's defeat of a bill that would have given college students and employees the right to carry handguns on campus :
Virginia Tech spokesman Larry Hincker was happy to hear the bill was defeated. "I'm sure the university community is appreciative of the General Assembly's actions because this will help parents, students, faculty and visitors feel safe on our campus."
Agreed. What or who gave the initial information that the shooter was a Chinese student on a visa?
A South Korean English major??? Nah, it doesn't pass the smell test.
A South Korean English major on a killing rampage in an engineering building??? You've got to be kidding.
My guess is that some low level clerk checking the University's records saw the student's college listed as ENG (abbreviation for ENGineering) and assumed it stood for ENGlish. They probably passed that mistake on to a university administrator/spokesman and then on to a reporter.
It'll be days before the MSM gets it straightened out, and by then the public will be too bamboozled to every get it right.
WTF! Suspected??
LLS
‘South Korea’s Foreign Ministry also expressed its condolences, saying there was no known motive for the shootings and that South Korea hoped that the tragedy would not “stir up racial prejudice or confrontation.”’
Oh good God.
Why is it the US is assumed always to be full of these problems, and noone else is?
What kind of statement is this to a victim?
Has South Korean released a statement yet? I am surprised if they have not. This is a horrible situation for South Korea I am sure. They are probably very embarassed. I am sad that it is a South Korean one of our allies. The South Koreans are such nice and great people. I am surprised that this even happened because they tend to be very even tempered. I was stationed there for four years.
I mean, this sort of thing happens literally five times a day in Iraq, and the dems want to run away and leave the mad gunmen in charge and unmolested, don't they?
Or maybe what they really mean by multiculturalism and tolerance is that it is just fine to kill Iraqis but not US college students...
And so much for all the freepers that were sure it was a crazed ME terrorist...
I guess he must have been ronery.
I thought the same thing. That trumped their story.
The “Ismail Ax” that he refers to that he wrote on his arm in red could refer to this guy the guy in the middle on the third picture:

I am Korean and I HAVE NEVER BEEN attacked because of this massacre. I don’t what backlash they are even talking about. Same old day for me. Nothing unusual other than I am very saddened about what happened. I have other things to worry about right now. I am sick of this God d*** race card game. The murderer being Korean does not change anything. It’s horrifying no matter what. Seung-Hui Cho is a f*** up.
