“A new CNN poll has Giuliani leading McCain 27 percent to 24 percent in a potential GOP presidential match-up. That follows on an American Research Group poll that has McCain trailing Giuliani by a 27 percent to 23 percent margin.”
I know. You do realize the poll numbers are meaningless at this point, right?
It will be another eight months before the average voters begin to focus on the candidates and whatever the issues might be then. Heck, McCain could throw a hissy fit about Conservatives, Rudy could get divorced and remarried TWICE, Mitt Romney could easily reverse himself a half dozen times on a dozen or more pertinent issues...between now and the end of this year.
(Yes, an exaggeration, but not far off the mark on what could easily happen between now and then)
It's sad to see so many Freepers who should know better fall for this garbage.
You are right--the election is a long way off. Anything can happen. One of the front runners could get sick or even die (they're all somewhat old). They're could be a family emergency that makes one drop out. You never know.
Many here don't like Rudy. That's fine. Just realize that if these Rudy haters are going to carry the Left's water with their attacks on Rudy, well don't expect any help from others when their guy has to guy through the media rectal exam.
I'm not the biggest Duncan Hunter (for President) fan, for example. But if the MSM tried to put the hit out on him, I sure wouldn't be helping them do it. I'd be defending Hunter like I was Ultra Sonic on Steroids.
The libs are playing divide and conquer---and many "conservatives" are helping them.
When they eventually come for their guy, there won't be anyone left to defend them.
