Police arrested two men Monday on suspicion of assaulting an outspoken critic of Islam after she publicly called for a revision of the Quran's view of women.
Kadra Noor, 26, emerged into the public spotlight in 2000, when her secret recordings of imams in Norway supporting female circumcision, contrary to some of their public statements, was aired as part of a national television documentary.
Noor, who is deputy leader of a Somali women's group in Norway, said she was assaulted by seven or eight Somali men outside an Oslo pub in the early hours of Thursday morning. The attack came after Norwegian media published an interview with her on April 10, in which she said it was time for Islam to revise its view of women.
"The Quran's view of women should be interpreted again," she was quoted as telling Norway's largest newspaper, Verdens Gang. "I miss a debate over the rights and duties modern Muslim women have."
Noor and other witnesses said the attackers, some shouting religious slogans, knocked Noor down, surrounded her and kicked her. She suffered cracked ribs and other injuries.

There’s No War on Terror???...
The same way they condemn female circumcision.
Mrs VS
According to the Brits......
Men?
Of course the irony of two men beating up a woman because she mentions that Islam is violent, is SO lost on these individuals.
Such tough guys — 7 or 8 men against one woman.
She better get used to the beatings...Because hers and the rest of the northern European countries are encouraging the immigration of peoples from Mid-East origins at unprecidented rates.
Sounds reasonable. She spoke out against Islam, which means she's brave...and they needed a gang of men to attack her, which means they're cowards. So one brave person vs 7 or 8 cowards...when looked at that way one can understand why they needed so many.
At bottom, islamists are simply misogynists.
In Norway? You gotta be effing kidding! It would take an act of God to get a carry permit.
If Norway is like other euro countries, guns are strictly controlled, and most people ignore the laws and buy whatever gun they want on the black market. I know of a couple of people in different euro countries who have substantial collections of firearms, many of which are totally illegal. (Of course, that would never happen here)
Which is ironic, considering that they're all such tremendous p***ies.
Buying handguns legally here in Norway is quite easy. The applicant must be 21 years or older, member of a pistol club, and can not have a criminal record.
