Exactly - going even further than that - IMO the shooting victims in the dorm may have been chosen entirely at random to create a diversion from the shooter's real target. Possible he used different weapons for each crime scene to throw further confusion into the mix.
I may be wrong but I thought the Student Visa is a non-immigrant visa.
Since 1998 it is illegal for a person on a non-immigrant visa to own a gun.
This guy...the website guy...certainly has some disturbing stuff on his site which he may regret...or may not. But I doubt they are the same guys.

It's entirely possible that chaining doors was a precautionary measure to lock out a shooter ... campuses routinely have practice scenarios that deal with this type of situation. Columbine, and more recently, the campus killings in Montreal (this past year) have put colleges on alert.
If the other buildings on campus didn't follow a similar lock down procedure then your comment may have validity.

Who knows at this point, maybe someone just cruised .VT webpages and came across this man and his firearms.
There is a morbidity about his writings, but that doesn’t mean that he popped his own corked after murdering 33 people.
The Police are keeping quiet for a reason, whatever the reason, it certainly shut them up completely, they will not even give a physical description of the dead killer.
If the guy on the web page is indeed the shooter, why did he use a .22 and a 9mm instead of some of the heavier hardware? That HK has a folding stock and would easily fit into a book bag. Why not the Taurus instead of the .22?

We don’t know the final disposition of the high dollar gear, it may have been sold, or given away or whatever.
It seems that two crimes were committed, both heinous, but we do not know much more than that, the police are keeping silent. and they are covering their cola’s for some reason.
It is easier to open an oyster with your bare hands than it is to get a scared beaucrat to speak when it may cost them their job.
