I wonder which “definition” of “Asian” is meant. Asia includes the Middle East, so is this Asian, as in Chinese or Asian, as in Middle Eastern?

I think since the word "oriental" became politically incorrect, "asian" has replaced it. In other words, I think this is someone that in less PC times would have been called oriental.
