So now it falls into place. The Chicago Sun-Times story last night was wrong—the Chinese national from Shanghai must’ve been one of the victims, or at least in that class and left his cellphone behind near where the perp assumed room temperature, because that’s how they “identified” him.

And, if Cho was a resident alien with a green card, it’s perfectly legal for him to buy those two handguns (one month apart, in Virginia). I feel for that gun shop owner in Roanoke. He made a legal handgun sale and now he’s going to be facing lawsuits like he could never imagine.

I don’t know about that. If everything was in order, there are no grounds to sue. If I go out and start killing people with a carving knife, does that mean my victims can sue Williams-Sonoma for legally selling me a carving knife?
