Virginia Tech sounds like a school I'd like my kids to transfer to. I watched numerous "pressers". Seemed to me those who attend the school, those who run the school, and the police have sense, dignity, integrity, reasonableness, and the ability to stay on focus and deal with the facts.

The facts. The facts.

And the patience to wait for facts, and in not joining the "hype" parade.

I agree with your assessment of VT officials and the police. I’m not reading any more into what they are saying than their words. They are thoughtful and measured and consistent. Some people want to know everything all at once. It is impossible for them to know everything at this point and I personally appreciate the fact they aren’t making assumptions and putting them out there as facts. What’s done is done and there should be NO RUSH on the part of authorities to make information public until they are SURE of the information. The people who want all the answers immediately are the same people who will be ciritical and SUSPICIOUS if early reports turn out to be inaccurate. Let’s just give them time to work it all out.
