18 year olds can’t even purchase a handgun, let alone get a CHL, until they are 21. When they are 21, what possible objection do you have?

No problem owning one, but carrying concealed in a public place is different. If you are going to carry one, you must have the desire and the will to use it. This requires some type of training.
By the way, I got my first carrying permit in Georgia when I was 16.
