The gunman hadn't been killing students continually for two hours.

If this was the case, during those two hours, why did they assume the shooter had left the campus? During the news conference one of those interviewed said they assumed the suspect had left the campus after the initial shooting. Do you know why they would assume this?

Exactly. Another one of the mysteries. You know, I got really annoyed when the President of Virginia T. said, “we have to begin healing and going on” or something like that. They haven’t even notified all the parents and he’s talking about healing!!!! These people are just unreal. How do you heal from something you haven’t even processed yet?

This is what our liberal, psychobabble, politically correct culture is doing to people.

I thought I heard them say left the state too - did I imagine that?

At the time, a murder suicide scenario wasn’t discounted.

I assume they assumed this because of the nature of the first killings. He hadn’t shot anyone else in the hour or so after the first shootings, so it was a perfectly acceptable assumption to make. They had no idea who he was, apparently, or they would have been doing some investigation about where he lived, and would have been looking specifically for him.
