go to jail? no, I don’t think anyone is suggesting the university people should “go to jail”. this isn’t a question of personal criminal liability. its just mismangement and poorly thought out approach to this incident, which did nothing to protect the students.
It’s pretty naive to begin with to expect campus cops to protect 25 thousand people. That’s why people should have the right to defend themselves and protect their fellow man from nutjobs.
Yes, there are people here claiming that the administrators should go to jail, which is a knee-jerk reaction based on very little information. It’s one of those ‘we have to do SOMETHING reactions’, that usually results in big mistakes.
