It's disheartening to read that fellow soldiers are starting to go negative... it just makes me loathe our media even more, and I didn't believe that posiible.

I took my kids to a WWII museum, and was amazed by the official "propaganda" and national unity of spirit that carried our troops along on those hard dark days.

We need to bring back war bonds, for starters, and find a way to include the folks back home with the fight "over there".

It’s hard to believe it has been almost 2 and half years since I posted this thread. I have been here in Qatar for the past several days on a 4-day pass and was just looking back on the last couple of years and ran across this post.

We have come a long way since I posted this, I am now on my 2nd tour to Iraq this time I am here as an advisor to an Iraqi Regional Training center. The staff of the RTC are doing a great job training their army from Basic Combat Training to Special Skills training, and even NCO Professional Development courses.

I appreciate my fellow FReepers and look forward to keeping up the REAL news via FR.

Well, when you cast demons out of Iraq and Obama is seen worldwide trying to cast them back in, ultimately folkes will know who cared for them.

Zeal here for zeal there on our side, in timely manner, teaches me that the enemy has no real reason nor will to fight for anything ultimately. Life is very short and they know it. They are done and going away angrily trying to drag us with them in a murder-suicide-euthanasia bomb/chemical retort attack of sorts.
