clearly there is a distinction but the rudyfans constantly attempt to make them equivalents.

If voters on the right think Rudy Giuliani's love life is too racy, what will they think about Fred Thompson? The former Tennessee senator, who is considering his own run for the GOP nomination, was a swinging single during most of his eight-year tenure in the Senate, So, 'swinging single' is supposed to be more scandalous than 'swinging married'?!

Oh wow! The man dated women when he was single? Oh the scandal! Well, I’ve changed my mind now. Rudy is definitely a more suitable candidate than a man that had the audacity to date women when he wasn’t married.

The former Tennessee senator, who is considering his own run for the GOP nomination, was a swinging single during most of his eight-year tenure in the Senate, making him a favorite of gossip columnists, who often referred to him as the "Tennessee Stud." George Washington was known as the "Stud of the Potomac." And at least Fred was single.

“Time magazine columnist Margaret Carlson..........................And Fred clearly is not interested.”
whew!
Good looks and good persona amongst lefty women is extremely rare. Eleanor Clift is one who epitomizes the norm on both counts.
To: veronica
You mean to tell me...that Fred Thompson got laid while he was single?!
THE TRAVESTY!!!!!!!!!
THE HORROR!!!!!!!!!!!
EEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To: xsmommy
I laughed at Lorie Morgan’s comments about cleavage. Clearly she has not seen pics of Fred’s wife! LOL.

If voters on the right think Rudy Giuliani's love life is too racy,Misses the point by a mile. Giuliani's lifestyle isn't necessarily too racy, it's too abnormal.

“Nothing like posting a 2 week old piece of slime. Trying to blunt a bit of the Rudy train wreck eh?”
Good point, change that to “attempted slime”
To: xsmommy
I agree. So why all the caterwauling on this thread?
BTW - how about if a couple is having sex outside the bonds of marriage, as Nancy Reagan and Ronald Reagan did. Is that immoral???

You’re the slimer, trying to cause trouble posting reposts from nearly 2 weeks ago.
As for the press, scrutinize away. Nobody gives a rat’s donkey if Fred dated a bunch of hot chicks while he was single.

WOW! this is a hit piece.
Just saw on C-Span, most of Guiliani’s donors are from New York City.
The MSM really is desperate to protect Rudy Rhodham Clinton.

Just because they facts doesn't mean they are not being used to slime with.
They are trying to blur the line between a SINGLE man dating people and a MARRIED man cheating his wife. It's a trust thing.
So, it is slime/mud and Fred Thompson still has my vote.

I don’t see anything wrong here. He dated women while he was single. That is what you are supposed to do. That is way different than what Rudy has done. One of the reasons I like Romney a lot is the way he has lived his personal/family life and I do think it’s a fair issue when compared to someone like Rudy or Gingrich, but Thompson has done nothing wrong so I don’t think he belongs in the same category as those two.
