tell you the truth I was only half listening when it was orig. on but I’ll check it out again—note the file (which I
uploaded) link above (the putfile one) or catch it tonight at 7:30 pm ET on C-SPAN (I’ll have to tune in to see Howie & the Col, the studios, etc.
Bill Richardson push is really after these poll. He is playing to their audience. Fact is he will not even be in VP of the dem.ticket, because he has baggage.
chicoms are our biggest “Nation Enemy”.

Yikes....
Respectfully Samantha, that's not a safe bet to make.
Unlike a Howard Stern, Imus has no audience to follow him that's large enough to earn him the big bucks.
We found out this week that the media-elites had built up an image of a radio iconoclast that couldn't stand up outside of the studio lights. Notice how in the beginning of the week, Imus was man with an audience of 3 million listners, pulling in $50 million worth of advertising dollars. By week's end, the news stories were now appearing (accurately this time) that Imus' audience was barely a million listners and his revenue stream was only $15 million a year. Imus couldn't even draw ratings in the Beltway itself.
The sad reality which struck the drive-by'ers was that despite the build-ups and the media attention, relatively speaking, Imus was irrelevant as far as national radio audiences went and therefore he was readily available for a sacrafice.
The media-elites from CBS, ABC, NBC, MSNBC, The NY Times, The Washington Post, Newsweek, Time, who went on Imus' show weren't talking to the masses, they were talking and listening to each other.
Having politicians bail on you is no surprise, but as far as the media-elite went, these were the folks Imus relied on to pull his ass out of the fire. And they showed their true character. Frank Rich and Jonathan Alter and Tim Russert can write or speak thousands of words about Imus (noticeably all in retrospect), but they weren't there at the time Imus needed them. But then would you really want a Rich, a Dowd, an Alter or Russert in a foxhole with you?
And so, Imus goes out beaten and humiliated like Dan Rather. Samantha, Imus will be back as soon as Daunting Dan will. Count on that.
Spector is deranged.
Thats what we got in PA, an epidemic of derangment. Spector stays, Santorum goes. Get it?
Now we here in the Peoples Republic of PA, we are going to privatize our turnpike system.
That way, the PTB get a big payout to cover their big spending tracks and we get sccccccrrrreeeeeeeewed.
Yes, Phsstpok has been a trooper. Eye trouble has to be the scariest and apparently very painful as well.
I looked for his preview thread yesterday and wondered if he was okay.
The reason, is that people like you and me pay way more attention to this stuff than your average citizen. Most people in this country are Conservative in nature, if not affiliation.
Politics frankly, is our drug, as much as our morning coffee. We live and breath this stuff, and so do our enemies on the other side of the aisle. Our focus skews our perspective, which is why I like to just stop FReeping and watching TV sometimes, just to get an understanding of what other people are actually thinking about.
While we are worried about all this political garbage, most people are worried about gas prices and mortgages. Fewer and fewer people watch any kind of news at all, and really are getting their news from the Daily Show, Leno and Letterman, until the campaign season really takes off.
Political junkies like us ramp all news up way out of proportion. Most people don't think Republicans are bigoted, nor do they think Liberals hate America. Most people would rather we not talk about our interests at dinner, either.
The best advice I ever got was when Rush said, "just turn off the TV every now and then for a week, and discover a whole different world you never knew existed".
It really is true. We worry way too much about what those rascally liberals are doing. IMHO, they are stupid people who don't know they are stupid. We should leave them to their own devices, and just hide the sharp stuff from them, like you would an infant.
He’ll be fine and in very short order.
Phsstpok needs to change his name. I have to look it up every time.
I would agree and add this. IF he supported Bush tax-cuts, strict terrorist-interrogation & not standing up with dems on CFR, 9/11 commission joke, global warming, anti-swift boat vets, gang of 14 - he would be the de-facto republican candidate today.
Jon Kyl said on CNN that it is up to the DEMS to prove that any of the firings warrant this much of an attack on Gonzo.
Of course we know that is not how it will play out.
BTW..Wolfie said that Gonzo’s opening statement for Tuesday’s hearing has already been released.
Maybe we can get ahold of it somehow...so WE can be prepared. I don’t hold out a lot of hope that Gonzo will be a good witness for himself...
This Imus stuff is just over the top. Torie Clark calls his listeners enablers.
Lots of wondering about whether this is a sign of a whole cultural change. What a lot of nonsense.
George Will brings up the real problem of unwed mothers in the black community.
Reich gives us this bit of wisdom: “Stereotypes breed stereotypes.”
Steffie mentions that Geffen, who apparently has something to do with rap music, is a big supporter of Obama. No mention about Hillary and her supporters.
Often wonder if they, too, are not funding AlQueda, Hezbollah, etc.
Total agreement, see my #255.
