I reckon the difference is the unofficial Catholic self appointed watch-dog, Bill Donohue, forgave Opie and Anthony when they apologized, thereafter going so far as to use their show as a platform to defend Catholics on occasion. Rev. Al/Rev. Jesse can’t forgive Imus because that might lead to less self perceived victimhood amongst blacks, and we all know what that would mean for their “ministry”.
