You are in Florida I think, we have the same kind of place right across the Gulf from you. We have property in Brazoria County that is virgin forest. Huge Live Oaks and native brush that has never been cleared. We don’t go there for the same reason, too rough, but we used to tromp around it there. The bird watching I do is right here in my yard in the middle of Houston. Put out a few feeders and get the binoculars. ;9)

I can actually see birds better through my cameras. The Leica lens I use goes to 432mm equivalent, about 12X, another, Canon lens, will hit almost as far. My binocs will give me the power, but not the resolution. Both main cameras have stabilized lenses, takes the senior shake factor out of things.
