* Former President Bill Clinton took on Imus from the pulpit of the Old John Street United Methodist Church.

“The misfortune that befell Mr. Imus when he attacked the Rutgers basketball team . . . Now, the first thing I thought was, that guy did not watch the tournament, because those women were beautiful, fast, strong,” said Clinton.

“I deplore what Mr. Imus said. It was racist and it was sexist. What was really sad is, I thought, this must be one unhappy fella having to talk about somebody like [that].”
