I Love that Beautiful Kitty, (((((Lady Jag)))))!
Sporting my RED t-shirt with the USA written across the chest I set out to drive my RED (actually Maroon) Mustang convertible to the dentist for a cleaning visit.
Turning the key, the starter cranks over but it won't start. The fuel pump isn't pumping. It's one of two problems, bad fuel pump or the inertial safety switch (this is a switch located in the left taillight that shuts of the electricity to the fuel pump when the car is impacted from the rear) has gotten stuck in the closed position.
I'm hoping it's just the switch vs. the fuel pump. Easy to fix the switch but the fuel pump involves removing the gas tank to access the fuel pump which is located in the gas tank. Not fun at all to replace (I've done two times since we got the car in '91).
Nonetheless, wanted to stop in and say "Howdy" to one and all before working on my projects (car and windchimes).
Going to the car races tomorrow night to watch our SIL drive in his second race.
Prayers and a Salute to our Armed Forces serving around the world. They don't come any better than these folks.
Good luck with your car..and to your SIL tomorrow.
And I thought I was so smart to put the first air in my tires ever..that I can recall..LOL..( I should not admit that!)I also had a first time experience with the key. I could not remove it..Fifth time trying was a charm after driving it several places and stopping..
One place I stopped was to see a gorgeous pink rose bush..and another some wildflowers.
Looks like we are in for some stormy weather.
I am wearing my red sweater today, back at work, feeling so much better thanks to the good wishes, prayers and warm company of my FRiends. My kitty also provides encouragement...LOL.
I’ll get to individual posts after my lunch...
Very sad news, Dolly. The Lord be with you...(((HUGS)))...
It’s wonderful that you stay in touch with so many friends and are able to honor their lives when they have passed on.
However, 3 in 2 days is quite a shock... oh dear.
I thank you for posting this, about celebrating blessings no matter what.
My husband and I have been going through something like this. We are helping to start a new church, in an area with a lot of people moving in and new churches sprouting up all over town. We are in the middle of letting people know, and asking for help in various ways. We consider the whole thing a blessing, yet there were a lot of disappointments that led up to this happening. We’ve been going back and remembering all that happened in our past, the disappointments and the joys, and counting the blessings that occurred in both the disappointments and the joys. For example, we went through a hurricane and lost many of our household possessions, which was a bleak time. But there were those who helped us through that and helped us recover. The blessings of having met those who were so helpful was so much more than we could have expected. So we are again looking for the blessings no matter whether there are disappointments or joys in our future.
Your post was an encouragment to me right now.
Dolly, Am sorry about the loss of your friends. Yes, it is hard. I lost my very best friend 5 years ago and I still miss her. She was the one who was here the moment she heard of one of my family members was sick or had problems of any kind. I have lost quite a few of my classmates and we are planning a class reunion this September and I am on the committee. One girl had already notified us that she and her husband were planning on attending. They were out of towners and the next thing we knew we received the news she had passed away. I am probably older than you (which I’ll never tell) but we have lost 26 members of our class. I will be saying a prayer for you and your friends who share your sadness. None of us are promised tomorrow, thats a sure thing!
That cat looks like my son’s cat that I kitty-sat with this week. When he goes out of town, he brings her to Nana and she is 16 years old. He knows her time is coming but he will say ‘Mom, there is so much good left in her’. And there is!
Those little ladies get around, don’t they? Wish they could make us a bit ‘better looking’. LOL!
How does that song go?
Count your Blessings, name them one by one.
When we do that we realize just how Blessed we are.
We are trying to do the same, after 80 of us left one church we found a Pastor and are trying to rebuild a congregation and get funding for a building.
So we have a bit in common, so glad you were inspired by the daily bread.
Hi Dita :)
I’m so glad you are feeling better today!
I’ll be looking for you tonight. :)
Dear Dolly,
You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Hugs
Good Evening Diver
Oh no, I hope your car was fixed and it was a simple solution.
Good Luck to your SIL. Hope he wins the race. Let us know how he does. Have a nice weekend!
Good Evening ((((Kitty Mittens)))
How are you today? Thank you. I hope you are enjoying your day! :)
