You know, if Don Imus had referred to the female Rutgers athletes as ‘sleepy-headed hos’ instead of ‘nappy-headed hos’, he’d probably still be employed.

I-MAN used to be funny, 15 years ago. He has enough $ to buy his own radio station and then syndicate to Sat Radio, like the obnoxious Stern. So I do not feel sorry for him.
However the situation shows how “POLITICALLY CORRECT” (actually wrong the MSM is!) Who the hell are people, who in my opinion are bigots and shake down artists to judge IMUS? Who the hell elected them. Who are they to assume American Blacks need a “Chief” (unelected to be their “universal” spokes persons? Why are these clowns listened to?
Also, will Black Comedians stop calling me White Bread? The censorship so feared by the Left has been brought about by the Left - enjoy it.

Whatever Imus' sins, no one deserves to have Al Sharpton hero of the Tawana Brawley hoax, resolute defender of the fake rape charge against half a dozen innocent guys, which ruined lives sit in moral judgment upon them. This says it all.
I often disagree with Pat, but that is hardly the point here. There is an old saying: No idea can be held responsible for who holds it. And on this matter, Pat has certainly nailed it!

Amen! Sharpton has that and a lot more against him. Black expectations of their leaders are low and they support creeps like Sharpton and feel bound to support him no matter what.

They are not 5-year-old girls, and they are capable of brushing off an ignorant comment by a talk-show host who does not know them, or anything about them. With all due respect; apparently not, Pat. One of them even said she'd be scarred for life. It seems these pillars of academic and athletic success at Rutgers are emotionally five years old.

So... Pat Buchanan is right again, as usual. Why does everyone hate him?

Pat, I remember him. He's always incredibly on target or just nuts.
Problem is, you never know which will show.

This masterpiece by Pat Buchanan is the best written news commentary I’ve read in a long time. I started to cut and paste some of the best lines, but then I realized the whole article deserved to be cut-and-pasted and showed off for its brilliance. Buchanan makes one excellent point after another, all of which will be dismissed by the MSM as the words of one of Imus’ fellow racists. With everything that’s in the news today, I feel as if America is about to implode. Buchanan is one of the last voices of reason.

Much ado about nothing. Howard Cosell was bigger in sports than Imus was in radio talk, but one day he watched a speedy Black running back race down the sidelines and exclaimed "Look at that little monkey run!" End of career. Nothing new here.

It seems easier and much more fair,
to simply hate everyone and go on from there.

The left is energized by their victory. Having destroyed one man they will move on to the next, with their ultimate goal being the silencing of all voices from the right in time for the big election of 2008.
They will lower the bar for their hypocritical outrage, so that now Rush, Hannity and Savage will be subject to greater scrutiny. If they don’t hear anything racist/sexist/homophobe, they will use a quotation, or just make something up.

I think Buchanan has it wrong. The word that got him fired was probably “nappy”.That was the racist insult I think that upset the black people.
I think sending Imus to atone at the Governors mansion is hypocritical.Black people should be protesting in front of Russel Simmons mansion for putting on those vile videos and rap songs in the first place.
