Corzine is a man. Well, a male. Well, he has a beard.
I hope he recovers, but the irony of a nanny-stater like him being injured because he wasn’t wearing a seatbelt jumps off the page. I guess he is above the law, which is there to protect the little people who are too dumb to protect themselves.
To those who think the belt would have hurt him, note that the others in the accident received only minor injuries. State Troopers are smart enough to know to wear them.
Again, I hope his recovery is complete and rapid.

no one wants to see him injured. But the irony is dripping.

I imagine they are required as part of their job.

The kind of injuries you get from seat belts are liver, spleen and bowel injuries. You typically do not get rib fractures from seat belts. I would consider the description of his injuries to have the potential for life threatening complications. I know what I’m talking about. I work in a level 1 trauma center and we see many, many horrific traffic accidents. He has a hard road ahead and despite any political differences, he and his family have my prayers.
