Hit and run - expect new laws in NJ with stiffer penalties for this type of accident.

I've seen how people drive there, it was only a matter of time before some bigwig got involved in an accident. Maybe he will sponsor legislation to get people to drive the speed limit, or something.
My concern? I'm moving to NY in a couple of weeks, just ten miles across the NJ border. I expect I will be doing some driving in that state.

Democratic U.S. Sen. Jon Corzine was elected governor of New Jersey in November 2006, soundly beating Republican businessman Doug Forrester in a race that set records for campaign spending but alienated voters with its mean-spirited politicking. With 97 percent of precincts reporting, Corzine had 53 percent to Forrester's 44 percent. This has nothing to do with the story. If he had been a Republican that beat the pants off of a Dim, this paragraph would not be in the story.

I hope he is OK, and I wish him a full recover.
As to his life and his actions, he is a bad tree who produces bad fruit.

Was that a news story about an auto accident, or a political press release from Kerosine’s office?

With 97 percent of precincts reporting, Corzine had 53 percent to Forrester's 44 percent. they still only have 97% of precincts reporting? If so, this really really calls into question the already idotic calls to suspend the Electoral College.

You’re a far better person than I.
My prayers are for the Officer, as well as any worms or crawling things that might have been in the area at the time. Oh, and for the blades of grass that may have been hurt.
As for Corzine..... nothing but democrat a speed bump.

I don’t like his politics, but I’m glad it’s not serious.
