[BREAKING] N.J. Gov. Corzine Hurt In Car Accident

(CBS) GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP, N.J. New Jersey Gov. Jon S. Corzine was injured Thursday night in a car accident on the Garden State Parkway, but a spokesman says the injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Democratic U.S. Sen. Jon Corzine was elected governor of New Jersey in November 2006, soundly beating Republican businessman Doug Forrester in a race that set records for campaign spending but alienated voters with its mean-spirited politicking. With 97 percent of precincts reporting, Corzine had 53 percent to Forrester's 44 percent.

There is absolutely no proof this was anybody's "hit". Car accidents happen. And there's absolutely no proof any illegal aliens were involved. From ABC 6 Philadelphia:

A law enforcement official with knowledge of the accident said a state trooper driving the Chevrolet Suburban carrying Corzine swerved to avoid the vehicle, avoided contact with other vehicles, but crashed into the guard rail.

It's still not clear there was any actual hit in the so-called hit and run.

From Reuters

>>Corzine broke his leg and was flown to a nearby hospital. One local news outlet that tracks police news, Breaking News Network, said he suffered chest pains while being transported to the hospital but that could not be confirmed.<<

there you go...someone else heard it on the scanner...but disclosure of that information is borderline illegal....they also called it in as a white male adult, 50 years old, etc....not “the governor”

but the scanner listeners knew from the callsigns and urgency of the communications who it was.

Do you think they’d be using a helicopter to look for a hit-and-run driver if you were run off the road?

BREAKING UPDATE:

http://blog.nj.com/ledgerupdates/2007/04/governor_injured_in_auto_accid.html

Corzine was headed back to Drumthwacket, the governor’s mansion in Princeton, where radio shock jock Don Imus is meeting this evening with members of the Rutgers women’s basketball team. Corzine had planned to moderate that meeting.

This wreck should clue people in that NJ’s pension scandal is bigger than reported. Corzine walks this way...

Given the new information, it looks like Hillary decided to take out Corzine before he could meet with the Rutgers basketball players tonight.

I wonder if it was Craig Livingstone who was driving the red pickup truck...

The wreck has nothing to do with Hillary.

Corzine was on his way to mediate a meeting between Imus and the Rutgers basketball team.

This story just keeps getting stranger and stranger.

Now the NJ governor has a serious compound fracture, head injuries and chest pains and is currently undergoing surgery. All because of a shock jock and a race pimp.

...swerved to avoid the vehicle, avoided contact with other vehicles, but crashed into the guard rail.

Stupid, stupid, stupid! Never EVER wreck your vehicle without involving the other party.

Damned near as stupid as wrecking your car "swerving to miss a deer".

Hillary wanted to be the first politician to meet with the Rutgers basketball team so she took out Corzine who was on his way to meet with them tonight with Imus.

This was also a message from the Clintons to Imus to go away quietly.
