He will not even be on the air tomorrow.

. . . didn't Imus admit to voting for GWB over albore in 2000 and hasn't he said he will vote for McCain this time around?

I think that's right.

Maybe in a month or two, after the dust settles, Imus’ friend Roger Ailes could hook him up with a couple hours of early morning tv. Make the ‘rats would really whine.

Just a thought.

LOL.

I’ve been told he’s a registered Republican but then freepers tell me he’s a lib. You can tell I have no clue about him.

Now Dick Morris is on FNC and promoting his website... I think this whole life we are in these days is sureal....

I was laughing hysterically whenever Bo Dietl kept referring to Dick Morris as "Mister Dick Morris dot com"

Thanks, but then again, I really don’t want to look at a pic of Gore that badly. ;)

Yes. FNC said it was hit and run and you could see the suv off the road with doors open but no other car on the scene.

He used to live in Westport...about the time I worked there for a few years. The neighbors hated him....

Nobody can change history, unfortunately. Only can we change the present and hopefully influence the future in a positive way. That’s what I’m concerned about by all of the tolerance and glorification of hypocrisy these days.

And apparently we aren’t even supposed to challenge that.

It is true... if you put it into that context... he made an off the cuff remark that caused him to be fired... this is what has me upset, Black “leaders” insult White people all the time.... but we have become so sensitive, so politically correct that only a black person can make a black remark but when those kids in Duhram are found not guilty do the Blacks who denegrated them every come out and say they are sorry????? I think that has me angrier over this than anything because of the two situations side-by-side.

You are correct. Imus has said that he is the only registered Republican on the Upper West Side of Manhattan.

Which thread are you on? Let me know so I can check it out. From the comments I’ve been reading on this story, it appeared to me that the majority of people posting are pretty upset about the railroading of Imus by the hypocritical libs, Sharpton, et al.

Several of them made comments to that effect and it was over the top IMO.

Just walked in the door and heard the news. Without scanning the 600+ posts, my thought is that this will hurt the lefties more than us.

Imus gave them such a megaphone with those long, long interviews. Where can they go now for that? I'll bet most of his media "guests" like andrea mitchell, timmy russert, etc. will be really sorry he's gone.

I wonder if Hillary had a hand in the Imus affair. Imus had some strong words about Clintons.

Two birds with one stone for her. Sharpton and Jackson are pretty savvy, having been Professional Victim's Rights Hustlers for years but neither has the team that the Witch has. She could well have put a bug in their ear "save yourself from accountability a la Duke and put a notch in the PC Police belt at the same time." The timing was good and there are many benefits for all the libs on down the line.

I join you in challenging the tolerance for hypocrisy. And so do others according to the freepers who watched Anderson Cooper today on CNN. They said he was stunned at the sheer number of viewers who are ticked off about this matter because of the hypocrisy.

So see? We aren't nuts after all. LOL

I've compiled a list of the companies whose withdrawal of advertising pushed this whole thing forward. They include the following:

American Express
General Motors
Proctor & Gamble
Sprint/Nextel
Staples
TD Ameritrade

Of course, let's not forget CBS Radio and all of its various related media outlets.

E-mail them if you'd like, but I usually contact them by phone and follow up with a concise, well-written "snail mail" letter.

The problem with e-mail is that companies get inundated with them. And so few people use snail-mail these days that companies tend to pay closer attention to them (this is also a good hint for sending a resume when you're job-hunting, too).

I'll post phone and mail contact information for all of these companies later this evening, unless someone else posts them first.
