O'REILLY: Hollywood director Bob Clark, best known for "A Christmas Story" and "Porky's" was killed by an illegal alien drunk driver. Also killed, his 22-year-old son Ariel..... And L.A. is a sanctuary city authorities didn't report him to ICE.

.... this is not unusual in LA, which is perhaps the most anarchic city in the country when it comes to .....criminal illegal immigration.

MCINTYRE: You're absolutely right.... We encourage it.....

So it's an epidemic across the country. We lose more Americans every year to crimes and drunk driving, including murder by illegal immigrants in this country, than we lost on 9/11.

LEVINE: Well, it's nauseating, Bill. I mean, he was a very talented and gentle man....

And there's been silence. The mayor, the city council, the supervisors, "The L.A. Times" have all said nothing. And if Fluffy the cat had gotten murdered that day, the city would have closed down...... Look, Bill, two people are dead. Who should we see about that? And the politicians don't get it. This would not have happened — in fact, if this were a moral society, this family should be able to sue the federal government for criminal neglect.

MCINTYRE: Because you see this is a local law enforcement issue. And you know, I heard the argument, your conversation with Geraldo. But Geraldo's argument is as empty as Al Capone's vault.

Here in Mexico, HOLY WEEK, in a small tourist town it was quite common to see young people 12, 14 driving their parents cars, while drinking beer from open containers. I never knew of a single incident of police pulling over teen agers to ask for driving permits or to check alcohol levels. In general, Driving Under the Influence in Mexico has not felt the affect of the Mothers Against Drunk Drivers Crowd. Maybe the finer folks in Los Angelos can teach them a cultural lesson...by applying the LAW... Encouraging them NOT to show up to work under an assumed alias would be good. Encouraging them to stand beside their woman, and not abandon babies and wives to go work at Pizza Hut in downtown Americana.

indeed, ICE would do nothing. that’s why this mantra about “sanctuary city” is meaningless. local law enforcement has to be targeted for crime - it can’t be used for immigration, because INS refuses to deport anyone - so what’s the point? Virginia Beach can’t deport someone back to Mexico, yet OReilly will scream about that every night for the next month.

In 2005, there were 37 alcohol-related crashes caused by Hispanic drivers for every 10,000 Hispanics in the state, according to the UNC Highway Safety Research Center. That is more than three times the rate of alcohol-related crashes among non-Hispanics.

Men in their 20s and 30s made up more than half the people charged with DWI statewide in the year ending last July. Nearly 40 percent of North Carolina Hispanics were 21- to 39-year-old men in 2005, according to census estimates. This same age range accounted for only 18 percent of blacks and 16 percent of whites.

Bobby Dunn, who counsels Spanish-speaking DWI convicts in Johnston and Wilson counties, said his clients are often young men far from home with money in their pockets for the first time. Many were too poor to have cars in Mexico, so they have little experience behind the wheel.

A murder on the UW campus this week was committed by an illegal alien who was arrested in Seattle last year, but police officers were barred by a politically correct Seattle law from checking to see if he was in the country illegally.

“Immigration officials said Wednesday night that the man who killed a woman on the University of Washington campus on Monday and then killed himself had lived in the United States illegally for more than 10 years.

41-year-old Jonathan Rowan was a British citizen. The woman killed was 26-year-old Rebecca Griego, Rowan’s ex-girlfriend….

Seattle police arrested Rowan for drunken driving on June 30th, 2006. But city law forbids Seattle police from inquiring about immigration status, unless the officer has a reasonable suspicion that person is in the United States illegally.”

Oh, well, then. That makes it all right.

In Mexico, when there is a vehicular accident, they put everyone involved in jail until they get the culpability sorted out. This is why so often you see people running like hell from car and bus accidents, leaving only the injured to be arrested.
