WASHINGTON - A U.S. military commander has determined that Marines accused of killing civilians after a suicide bombing in Afghanistan last month used excessive force, and he has referred the case for possible criminal inquiry, The Associated Press has learned. I’m afraid I don’t know how to properly post a link, but if you go to the Yahoo home page, the link to this article can be found there.
Ping~~~~
Here we go again. The “perfumed princes” of careerist generals, ambitious JAGs and unscrupulous investigators and lying muslims now out to hamstring and second guess warriors under fire. And, still the White House cannot figure out why the war against terrorists isn’t going so well with the American public.
Oh, I think I’ll join the Border Patrol instead. No, wait...
God Bless your son and your family.
Being the NCIS is investigating this your son is smart not to talk to them unless he has an attorney.
Thanks for the ping, Justa.
When your responding to an attack, THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS EXCESSIVE FORCE!! If innocents are killed blame those that launched the attack. The goal of terrorists (which is who we are fighting) is to merely wreck havoc on everyone. Military leaders who ignore this should be canned. Semper Fi Marines.
An enemy that routinely tortures and beheads civilians and would have no problem killing millions of unbelievers with nuclear weapons "WHEN" they obtain one.
Nothing as imbecilic as destroying those sworn to protect & defend, just for doing so!
Makes ya wonder about things, doesn’t it!!!!!

In a situation like Haditha or the Afghan highway, we can either risk the lives of Marines or the lives of civilian shields. We can't minimize the risk to both.
I do not understand why our military is suddenly fighting terrorism as a law enforcement problem rather than as a war.
The official spoke on condition of anonymity because the probe's results have not been released. So why is he talking? If they are not released...maybe there is a reason like they are not good "findings" at all.
The findings have been forwarded to Central Command, which has responsibility for U.S. military operations in the Middle East and Central Asia. The case has also been referred to the Naval Criminal Investigative Service for a broader criminal inquiry, the official said.
Another official, also speaking on condition of anonymity,
What was this other guy's excuse for blabbing?
... said the initial military investigation concluded that there was a "reasonable suspicion" that the Marines violated the rules for the use of deadly force, and that crimes, possibly including homicide, may have been committed in the aftermath of the convoy being struck by a car bomb.
Damn it all to heck. I REALLY would like to see these pencil-necks in NCIS who are clearly the blabbermouths...be tasked with rifle company duty in these hot zones. Let's see how many fire-fights they get in and see whether they feel like prosecuting themselves...
SFW? Are we at war or not? If not, why are we there?
And...”Bushwhacked!”

And, before anyone gets around to calling Marines “extremists”—let’s get that point established too!

Were existentially incapable of using excessive force. Were the Good Guys , so everything we do is good. Those who argue otherwise must be destroyed for their insufferable treason, ingratitude, self-loathing, or what-you-will. Anyway, destroy them.
Isn’t the definition of war the application of excessive force to defeat an enemy?
I don’t understand the calibration of force on the ground when you can bomb the hell out of somebody from 30,000 feet.
Absolute Bullshit!!!!
The "War" label doesn't apply to what we are sending our young people to do. Which is to become targets while engaging in policing duties with their hands tied behind their backs.
Let me know when the Prez decides to get serious about conducting actual "Warfare", than maybe I'll reconsider my position.
