<<<< The church of scientology has come in direct conflict with police and government forces in several countries including ęłęóthe United States, the United Kingdom, and Germany, where scientologists are considered to be a dangerous political movement. >>>> I'm sorry.. when did this happen ? Does the US consider them to be anything ? Dangerous Political movement ? Lets see... John Travolta is the head of the Scientologist Air Force, Tom Cruise is principle torturer / social engineer... How is that deck of cards going to look ? (Oh, I forgot, instead of a deck of cards all soldiers need to see is an issue of Entertainment Weekly)

I’m not a fan of Scientology by any means, but this is a ridiculously biased article, reporting on pretty ridiculous legal assertions. Like the Polish police told the reporter, if there is a crime committed by an individual or organization, that can be investigated or prosecuted. But to ban an organization simply because it is considered a “dangerous political movement” strips people of their right of free association. The fact that Scientology is spreading in these countries is not by itself evidence of anything. Why didn’t this reporter uncover some evidence of these alleged crimes during his undercover work?

>The church of scientology, a political and religious group

Yes, a political group for sure, but religious? There is nothing religious about them.

I don't really fear
Scientology because
I've always assumed

Scientology
is Naval Intelligence
like Heinlein wrote here . . .

Scientology is not a religion, it is a cult. I cannot figure out why there isn’t a basic standard upon which we allow the various religions to legally exist. Among the basic requirements should be that it doesn’t attack non-believers and that it does not try to isolate members from friends and family.

That would exclude Islam ;-)

I wouldn’t be surprised in the people of Poland chase them out through perpetual prayer intentions.
