Fred Thompson on Neil Cavuto FoxNews—Today: Wednesday 4-11 at 4pm EASTERN
Posted on 04/11/2007 10:05:53 AM PDT by cpforlife.org
Just saw Bill Hemmer with Neil show a preview.
Thompson said he was diagnosed with the "good" type of lymphoma a few years ago and wanted to get the info out sooner rather than later. Neil surmised that Thompson also wanted to gauge the response of the people.

The more I read about this story, the more I think he’s running. He’s announced his illness and is getting out to the media/blogs to further explain it. IMO if he were to definitively take himself out of the running as a result of this, today would have been the best time; the fact that he didn’t is a pretty clear sign to me anyway.
That said, I wish Fred nothing but the best of health, and I’m still with him if and when he jumps into the race.

Big difference Tsongas was a good deal younger when his lymph node cancer was diagnosed which generally indicates a significantly more aggresive disease. He also lived 13 years after his initial diagnosis and considering the extent of his treatment he must have been been in a fairly advancd stage when diagnosed.
His doctor classifies his prognosis as “good” and regardless what is said that is the most important.

Jeb is NO better on the borders. He thinks our immigration laws are “too tough”.
NO MORE Bushes!!

I am disappointed to hear that about Jeb. He’s a sincerly nice man.
Is there a third-party reference I can refer people to, in order to back that up?

Fred is toast. The last thing we need to give the Clintons is more ammo for their DBM friends to use against our candidate. How many “medical experts” do you think they already have on speed dial who will come on and talk aobut how debilitating Lymphoma can be. There will be a least one Hallmark, Lifetime, WE movie about dying from Lymphoma, Oprah will bring on the spouses of people who died from the disease and CBS, NBC and ABC will all write cancer storylines into some of their hour long drama.
I was looking forward to seeing what Fred could bring to the discussion, but he is not a viable candidate at this time, sorry.

Oh for pity’s sake...does that also disqualify Rudy and McCain?
How about if you listen to Fred @ 4 pm with Neil Cavuto on FOX?

Say what?! Just who is NOT toast by that standard? This is a minor issue at most. Can you think of anyone who would have voted for Fred Thompson but would instead vote for Hillary just because his health is worse? Please...
