Imagine what happened at the end of the last major glaciation (14,000 years ago) when Antarctica began sloughing off mountains of ice chunks to trim down to it's present diminutive size.

The waves generated there would undoubtedly have devastated almost every seacoast in the world Island as well as the Americas.

Think that's bad? Imagine what happened when the moon was new and only 40,000 miles away. Mile high tides! Every six hours!!
