Howie Carr live thread. note: due to Red Sox game, the first couple hours will be pre-empted on WRKO Boston, WXTK-FM Cape Cod, and WCRN Worcester. This will be the last time during the regular season that WRKO will be carrying a weekday afternoon game (WEEI will carry them from now on during those times and also on Wed. nights...WEEI is also carrying today's game).
However any afternoon weekday games will pre-empt Howie on WCRN and WXTK-FM all season long. Well it's not that often ('get away days' sometimes; they'll have a couple night games but then an afternoon start since one or both teams have to fly to another city)
I wonder, is Wolfie is charging everybody more bread for the crosstalk?
Caught part of Dennis Miller: “Imus’ radio voice [iambic pentameter] isn’t serving him well in his apology...”
He said something to the effect that "you can listen to us for the remaining 'moment'" Howie's getting faced.
Maybe management's not too happy that he's bashing their new Felon on a regular basis. Gotta run myself, later...
Tommy Taxes, Don Imus, Michael Savage, there seems to be a lot of troublemakers on talk radio these days. Don Imus suspension doesn’t even start until next Monday. Good guys like Howie Carr are getting bumped for sports instead. They should have mercy rules in place in major league baseball if the game is a rout after seven innings are played.
I hope Imus comes through this all right. He looks rather frail.
the good news is: no more Red Sox pre-emptions other than some 6:30 am “pregames”. Wednesday night games are on WEEI
though. As for Celtics, there are only a few games left and
NEXT year they move to WEEI.
