What a hoot. If you increase the temp on an electric burner under a pot of water, the temp of the water does not instananeously increase and then stabilize. It takes awhile for the water to reach a new equilibrium.

Thank you. Exactly right. The scientists are intimidated, the reporters don’t understand the science, and the readers - for the most part - understand neither the politics nor the science. Hence silly propositions float freely through our media space.
