Yeah, ocean cooling is natural variability but warming is human caused. They have to maintain the correct global warming posture at all times.

Funny how this is classified as natural variability.

It's too short-term to call it anything else, unless a definitive cause-and-effect mechanism can be identified. (And that might still be an aspect of natural variability.)
