The Obama-Clinton Ticket?
The Caucus ^ | April 9, 2007 | Jeff Zeleny

Posted on 04/09/2007 6:30:27 PM PDT by wouldntbprudent

It’s not uncommon, at least in some Democratic circles, to ponder the possibilities of a joint presidential ticket of Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama. And in most conversations, the names are listed in precisely that order.

But when that question is raised on tonight’s Late Show with David Letterman, Senator Obama asks for a bit of clarity.

“That would be a powerful ticket,” Mr. Letterman says of the two senators. “Undeniably that would be a powerful ticket.”

Mr. Obama replies: “Which order are we talking about?”

I actually think Obama/Gore would be more powerful. And much more difficult to defeat than the Witch.

No one in their right mind would want Hitlery to be their Vice President. Wouldn’t be prudent. Wouldn’t live too long.

Hillary’s already been VP.. She wouldn’t take #2 again (Gore notwithstanding in the least).

Obama-Clinton would give Hillary a shot at eight years running things behind the scenes while Obama does pressers and plays golf.

Then she’d have a shot at another eight years as president, giving her an unprecedented 24 years in the White House influencing policy and making decisions.

But based on Kerry’s performance on Steffi’s show Sunday, I think it’ll be Gore-Kerry to save the world from carbon.

I don’t think today would be the good day to comment about how cocky Obama is getting...is it?

A Clinton-Obama ticket would be more compelling than an Obama-Clinton ticket. It would negate Obama’s weakest point, his lack of experience. If the two egos could work together, it would be a very difficult-to-stop ticket.

I actually think Obama/Gore would be more powerful. And much more difficult to defeat than the Witch.

I've pondered the Obama/Gore ticket and think that Gore wouldn't be willing to be 2nd again.

Hillary wouldn't be willing to be second either. I think in the end it will be Clinton/Obama. Hillary get's her shot, and Obama either gets the experience of running and losing or VP. For him it would be a resume builder (that's not to say Hillary has much of a resume either).

Undeniably that ticket would put out a powerful liberal stench,no matter what order it was in.

If she could make it happen, Hitlery would make herself President For Life. You just know she hates having to go through the process of running.

I’m MORE than willing to have her martyred for the cause. ;)

I can’t think of any other politician I loathe more beside her husband-in-name-only.

Either way it would be TWO reasons to vote against the dimo ticket. There are those who will not vote for Hillary under any circumstances, and those who will not vote for an African American Muslim under any circumstances.

A C/O or a O/C ticket means a Republican victory.

The Obama-Clinton Ticket?

Why the question mark? It's a foregone conclusion.
