PYONGYANG, North Korea --New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson on Monday toured a U.S. warship captured by North Korea in the 1960s that is now used to inspire anti-American sentiment in the reclusive communist regime.

He was always Fats Richardson The Bungler to me ... this once again proves it.
richardson gave the chicoms space, nukes and how to build a working ICBM. He should already have been tried for treason, found guilty and have assumed room temperature!
LLS
ronery is crazy enough to destroy Seoul if we did. It wouldn’t take long... but it would cost nk it’s existence. Like I said... ronery is crazy.

greeeaaaaaat- maybe Kim, Albright, and Richardson can go have a three way. disgusting.
I just read the article (again) where in the article does it say Richardson was endorsing this?
He’s a traitor. Research when he was Energy Secretary. There are NO good dims... they are all evil!
LLS
He’s there isn’t he.
Good grief what’s next? Hillary visitng MadMood?
DITTO LLS: FatHead Richardson should already have been tried for treason, found guilty and have assumed room temperature!
Again (it seem’s I must repeat) AT the request of POTUS.
I understand (if one can believe anything that issues forth from “The Boston Fishwrap”) that he was there with official approval, but I am sure they wouldn’t have wanted him to allow them to showcase the U.S.S. Pueblo.
Which is what the lamebrain did. He should NEVER have gone up that gangway. Never.
Now, on the other hand, Richardson is reaping TONS of free publicity to show he has foreign relationshiops which Obama and Hillary do not, and it wedges him between the two as a different kind of Democrat to look at instead of the mainstream radical in Hillary and Obama.
If you were the RNC strategist would you not want to fragment the Defeatocrats as much as possible so they eat their own?
I forgot they still had the Pueblo.
We need to go get that back.
Not sure that the Bush administration initiated the request. It was probably the North Korean's contacting Richardson as they have done in the past. The administration approved as it was for the specific purpose of returning the servicemen's remains. And, I expect, Richardson had been briefed on the nuclear talks if the NK's brought it up, though not given approval to do other than restate US policy. He was sandbagged big time on the Pueblo visit. As I said earlier, this type of diplomacy can backfire as in this case NK was more interested in tweaking the US's nose than helping NM's King Bill with his presidential campaign.
With his liberal’s grasp of history (meaning none) I am not suprised he would completely miss the symbolism of the vessel. What a dummy.
Respect that comment.
"The North Koreans invited me to go and discuss the remains," Richardson said. "I contacted the White House and said 'Look, this is important for the country, let's do this in a bipartisan way.' And the White House agreed, to their credit."
The White House endorsed the mission and did not initiate it.
For those of you that do not know the process. Technically, we are still at war with North Korea. All communications on the military level go through Panmumjon(sic), then to UN oversight, then to the country involved in the armistice. The President as Commander-in-Chief decides who should represent the US.
