Yeah, but remember, back in the good ol' days of six months ago when another MSNBC talking head named Chrissy Matthews accused white people of being afraid of voting for Harold Ford because he is black? I'm curious as to how long Chrissy was suspended and where was MSNBC's "sensitivity" at the time.
I heard the whole thing too with Imus and his sidekick and while it's pretty hard to hear the whole thing as a joke, this wouldn't be an issue had the professionally race hustler Al Sharpton not gotten involved. MSNBC, rather than risking the ire of Al and his rent-a-mob, launched a preemptive surrender and suspended Imus.

For a guy who talks tough and rough, he sure looked docile and weak to me going to sharpton’s show to “apologize.” I just wonder if he was surprised by the suspension. My guess, he was. That alone is humiliating.

For what he said or becoming Sharpton’s bitch? Good point. I'm not a fan of his and yet felt somehow humiliated when he apologized. I didn't listen to him before and certainly wouldn't now. He should quit just to save whatever is left of his face.
