Yes we do. Imus might be a disgusting liberal but as already pointed out Rush was fired for a vaguely similar thing. The fact that the race-baiting lobby has the power to get people they don’t like off the air is disturbing and if they continue to gain in power it will hurt a lot of conservatives.
His employer suspended him.

Sorry to be disagreeable here but what IMUS said, and how he said it, are no different than anything you could hear in any number of “Artists” music these days.
YOU know what the difference is? Imus is white. There is where you find the REAL racism in this debacle.
Should he have said what he did? No, but what is one reason he did? It is acceptable for others to say quite regularly so he figured it would be for him too.
Kind of like “Kramer” (Michael Richards) saying what he said and being hammered for it, but then Chris Rock can go on Bill Maher and say the very same things and somehow then it is funny and acceptable.
Imus and Richards both made the mistake of thinking that what some can say, we can all say. Obviously equality in that department is lacking these days.
I am not sayin I defend what he said.
I am Just sayin that there is no equality in what happens when such things are said. Not politically and not racially.
I don’t care for Imus but I think it’s fair punishment for him being stupid.
The slap-down of Schumer was okay -— it was Imus calling Hillary an evil, wicked phony on this past Friday’s show, that got things “revved” up.
This has the Clintons’ magic fingerprints all over it.
