...journalist Ian O'Doherty mocked the motion in the Evening Herald newspaper, saying that Israelis were hardly likely to feel threatened by the "stern lecturing of a bunch of state-subsidized artists who mostly reside in well-deserved obscurity."Take them as seriously as they take the Film Actor's Guild.

D'Arcy, for her part, wrote an open letter to the ambassador attacking his views: "Mr. Ambassador, who the hell do you think you are, interfering with Irish artists, prescribing what we may or may not reflect upon?" she fumed. Evidently D'Arcy believes that only those who agree with her have the right of freedom of speech.

Margaretta D'Arcy Burka for Margaretta. She has spent her earthly life in the Communist camp. May she enjoy eternity in Hell as one of many slaves for a Palestinian Muslim thug.

Wonder what their response would be if someone proposed replacing Ireland’s population with muslims?

Reminds me of the furor when Sinead O’Connor tore up the Pope’s photo on the stage of one of her performances.

Do you suppose the people who make up Aosdana, Ireland’s state-sponsored academy of creative artists used to moonlight with the IRA? Seems to me they’ve got something in common with the Palestinians, another group who like to blow things up !!!

dial-a-cause artists. I like that one. I hope my Irish ancestors didn’t come from nutjobs such as the likes of D’arcy and the other leftist idiot.

This thread
got me ten days from an immature moderator. I am still scratching my head over this one, but I sure am glad that I have not supported this website in years. There are several moderators that I like around here. When they get rid of the special needs ones, and stop tolerating anti-Catholic bogotry, I will rethink my position. But I'm not holding my breath.

Irish artists: a pretty short list, a pretty insignificant list. Perhaps a way of reminding their countrymen that there are such people.
