‘President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Monday vowed that world powers would not be able to stop Iran’s nuclear drive and that the Islamic republic would defend its atomic programme “to the end.” ‘
The saddest part about all of this is—Ahmadinejad is right. No one will do anything to stop him. No one has the will to prevent him from getting a nuclear bomb.
If this rhetoric was being spewed from his little monkey-mouth 4 or 5 years ago, I would have felt confident that President Bush would have done something, but at this stage, he will do nothing. We will have Iran with nukes before my kids graduate from high school and this is the world we are going to leave for them to inherit.

He is right. They will get the bomb (eventually) - and bombing them will not stop it, only slow it down a little. Even a regime change is not guaranteed to put a stop to the nuclear program, as Ahmanutjob and the mullahs have successfully framed the project in nationalistic terms.
Iran will go nuclear at some point, and there is damned little we can do about it. The sad thing is, we could have had a much higher chance of success had the nations of the World stood together and done something about it in the very beginning.
