I’ve honestly come to the belief that he really doesn’t care anymore, that his self-interests are his only concern. My advice to GWB is for him to hit a few meetings, take the cotton out of his ears put it in his mouth..raise his hand..and bring up the topic of “King Baby”.

What self-interests??? This is what I don't get.

Before 2000 and 2004, it was clear that Bush was pandering to his big donors, and therefore would push things that would benefit illegal immigrants.

He's not running for office any more. What purposes does his illegal-immigrant-friendly stance serve? Why does he not care about punishing criminals anymore? He no longer has the excuse of pandering to campaign donors.

It does not make sense.

I mean catering to the desires of his big business buddies, globalist agenda, and possibly NAU dreams.

this and gun control are the issues that have made me question if there is even a point in bothering to vote, if Fred Thompson runs I probably will vote, but if the choice is gulliani or mcain I ain’t wasting my time

Bush will be back in Yuma, Ariz., to inspect the construction of border fencing and to push for the creation of a guest worker program and a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants

NO.

NO NO NO NO D@MN IT NO The "border fencing" is not happening, quit lying to us.

We do not need a "guest voter program" which is what the d@mn amnesty really is.

Offering "a path to citizenship" to "illegal immigrants a-l-i-e-n-s is REWARDING CRIME."

Mr President you are LYING TO US.

Stop lying while you still have a shred of credibility, no one believes the lies of "comprehensive immigration reform", no one wants it except the criminal illegal aliens, deport the ILLEGAL ALIENS...

NOW.

Rep. Culbertson warns about amnesty, SS Totalization

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1814950/posts

REP. JOHN CULBERSON: we can`t permit this to happen again, as it did in 1986.

The border is wide open and unprotected. It`s common sense that you sandbag the levy and stop the flooding before you even talk about what to do with the floodwaters.......when you hear these numbers thrown around, that catch and release has been stopped, people don`t realize, according to the government`s own figures, of the 1.3 million people apprehended in fiscal 2005, 1.1 million of those were Mexicans who are immediately released.

In Texas, if you`re from Mexico and picked up, you`re turned loose back over the river... the first seven times you`re picked up.

In Arizona, you`re back in home the first 15 times that you`re picked up.

... we got testimony under oath that there are about 600,000 aliens loose in this country, fugitives from justice that we don`t know where they are.

42 to 45 percent of the illegal aliens, are on visa overstays....we`re not keeping track of these people. The public does not know that the administration in June of 2004 signed a totalization agreement with Mexico that is right now at the State Department waiting for approval.

If the Senate plan passes, if we legalize illegal aliens under that totalization agreement, every illegal alien from Mexico and their entire extended family will be put on the already overburdened and almost bankrupt American Social Security system.

In June of 2004, the administration, Social Security Administration, signed a totalization agreement with Mexico that is now at the State Department awaiting approval.

If this Congress, if this White House passes this bill legalizing illegals, the totalization agreement, coupled with that legalization, will put every illegal alien from Mexico and their entire extended family anywhere in the world on Social Security.

Sadly I think this is the ratchet effect.

They pushed amnesty hard so now they think we will go for amnesty at $10,000 vs amnesty at $2,000

If these illegal aliens are here so long, they can apply under the CURRENT amnesty program which is there right now. Just ask any immigration lawyer about the means to legalize an illegal here for ten years. It costs about ten grand in lawyer fees PER PERSON to do it.

Secure the border. Cut off the flow of illegals. Once the influx has been reduced to a trickle, we’ll talk about what comes next. I don’t want to talk about immigration reform, though, with someone who is unwilling to control the borders.

Of course. But when our border is under control, just like in a real country, our real challenge begins. Lock down the border tonight, and we are still going to be a country with a huge, HUGE, rapidly growing, and very recently arrived Hispanic population.

That can be a good thing. Or that can be a bad thing. It's all in how we handle it, or in how we get handled. Our biggest Latino component is Mexican right now, with Central Americans coming on strong. However, the next wave of (illegal) immigration from the south will probably be from South America, where imploding governments and huge HUGE populations could easily spell disaster for us.

It's just starting to happen, but will our border be under control before that, IMHO inevitable, floodgate opens?

Just how Latino do those whom we entrust our goverment intend us to be? There are already areas in the Southwest where native English-speakers are in the minority.
