AUSTRALIA has lost patience with Mufti Sheik Taj al-Din al-Hilali and he should think about somewhere else to live, Immigration Minister Kekin Andrews says.
Calls for the sheik to be sacked intensified today after reports that he travelled to Tehran and urged Muslims worldwide to support the Iranian government of Mahmoud Ahmedinejad, whose nuclear ambitions have raised the ire of the international community.
"The mufti of Australia has called on the Islamic world to stand in the trenches with the Islamic Republic of Iran which possesses the might and the power," the Iranian Alalam News reported in Arabic on its website on Saturday.
The mufti's salary was suspended last year after he used a religious address to compare immodestly dressed women with uncovered meat and suggest they invited sexual assault.
Mr Andrews today urged Egyptian-born Sheik Hilali to quit his post and consider his future in Australia.
"The cleric should resign immediately," he said.
"The Australian community has lost patience with the sheik. The sheik needs to say if he wishes to continue as a citizen of Australia or reside in an alternate country."
But Mr Andrews' spokeswoman said there were no grounds for cancelling the Muslim leader's citizenship.

I found a link to a video of stoning in Iran. It really happens. They still do this for a variety of crimes. Islam is not simply another type of religion. The advantage of someone like Hilali is that he is forthright about what Islam actually is. Islam is not compatable with Western civilization. There really is no moderate Islam, if one observes Islam one eventually picks up a rock.
Islam is not even a religion. Death cult might be a better description.

The trick to Islam is that many of the writings in the Koran are nothing more than plagiarized and modified copies of scriptures from the Bible, there are good and decent things about taking care of widows and orphans, keeping oneself pure, etc., but it precisely defines the demonic tactic of presenting just enough truth so that the poison isn’t noticed, and is consumed by the victim.
The basic message of Islam is that all who will not submit to ‘allah’ are infidels and must be killed.
I say they need to be helped in every way to achieve the martyrdom they so dearly aspire to.
Hopefully with as few innocent casualties as possible.
