LOL....Brit has that “roll the eyes” thing he does when Juan says something dumb....I bet as Press Secretary he would have a headache from rolling his eyes after every briefing.
Maybe Newt could be in charge of getting rid of the Dept. of Education.
I am sure it would be a very difficult endeavor..and it would have to have thinking “outside the box”...and working with the Governors of all of the States to accomplish.
Newt would be perfect for that..because he is REALLY good at getting along with Dems, at least now he is, now that he is out of office.
She is getting beat up, which is gratifying. I think she misread the polls that supposedly said that Americans want end dates.
Ugh.
I’m also not happy that Fred Thompson was a McCainiac and for his Campaign Finance Reform.
:-) God bless you, too, Phatboy! You just gave me a big smile.
I am glad that you enjoyed the video!
“...and slunk out of Congress like he was a Serial Murderer.”
And that ws because of the Pubbies totally misguided concept of ‘nobility’ and ‘fairness’ in dealing with their own in the house. What the pubbies bounce a member for doing is a “boy scout badge” for dems.
What these Dems keep saying about how the American voters voted to get out of Iraq last November is a STUPID thing to say...because that was not on the ballot.
I don’t remember being able to vote about that...and not ALL Dems were for a date certain withdrawal.
Bahbah or Mo1 asked on a thread last night if these people really believe that WE want our foreign policy decided and run by “commissions” and “groups” and other non-elected entitites...because we did NOT.
Therefore, when Nancy or anyone else says that the Iraq Study Group recommended meeting with Iran and Syria...that sould NOT mean anything..it should be a non-argument...but, they are getting away with it.
Newt is a talker, Txsleuth. He could do other things rather than to be in charge of implementing any changes.
It’s not great that he was having an affair during the Clinton impeachment hearings. I’m not wild that he is splitting hairs, just like the Clintons did.
Considering what is happening with the campaign donations this year...and the fact that NONE of the candidates are going to ask for matching funds from the Govt. (which would limit how much they could take in)...
speaks volumes for how stupid that law was...I would like to hear Fred’s take on it now.
The Dems campaigned that they had a better plan, but it was a secret. Then they said, no we won’t withdraw. And then they did.
The talking heads mentioned polling that appears to show that Americans want timelines.
That does not translate into surrendering by way of pork, but they are entitled to paint “I AM STUPID” on their foreheads and cry that Rove did it to them.
Great take...LOL
Love the “boy scout badge” reference. The dems always manage to look so innocent also, when the pull off their corruption.
LOL...yes, Newt is a talker...and he gives me a headache sometimes.
The worst, if you recall from Tony’s Show, was that the bill allowed donations from Indian reservations. Which helped McCain a lot.
I am also saying that if Fred wants to run, Fred has to deliver instead of just making speeches that we might want to hear.
He can work to win us over, but the operative word is work.
It should stop amazing me when Dems can totally change their talking points from one month to the next, and get away with it.
They are still throwing that out that time that Cheney said the “f” word to Leahy in the Senate...that happened 5 YEARS ago!!
The dems that are coming out now for cutting off funds for the troops after a date certain, Harry Reid, have said just in the last few months that they would NEVER do that.
I hate to say it...but it all boils down to NO TV anchors or show hosts that will pound the dems hard enough on their hypocrisy and inconsistency....and their unpatriotic behaviour.
LOL
Me too.
But the WaPo did. If we step back, the enormity of the stupidity will hit them.
If we pound them, they claim it’s because we don’t like them.
This is the legacy of the Clintons.
You have a good point...but, what I think will happen is that Rudy and McCain and even Romney will get so beat up by the MSM and even the Dems (Hillary wanting hearings with Rudy as a witness)...
That by the time Fred enters the race, he will be seen as a saviour. I have to admit right now..that other than Duncan Hunter, I don’t see anyone I like at this point more that Fred, so that may not be the worst thing.
I am not going to say more...I don’t want to turn this into a candidate thread...they tend to get too personal and tense. ((((((shudder)))))
Dang...I had forgotten the WaPo...you are very correct.
The presidential race has enough pretenders who are running just to pad campaign coffers. (ala Kucinich)
Fred Thompson better run a campaign like a Tsunami onto the MSM.
Unless he has shock and awe, it will be quickly marginalized as “an extremist” the way they were discussing VP Chenney’s comments about pelosi.
