I was amazed at the lack of knowledge by the host — not once did anyone ask the dem rep to explain Tom Lantos’s statement...that in fact, the dems were pursuing an alternative foreign policy.

I was shocked that Lil Timmah did ask Judy Woodruff on MTP about the Lantos statement.  He was doing so as a response to Woodruff's completely blowing off any concerns about Pelosi's trip by basically saying no big deal, it's done all the time.  Of course, Timmah did it with a huge smile on his face and allowed Woodruff to just laugh off the concern with a wink and a nod.

Folks, it's a felony.  It comes close to an act of treason.  The WSJ piece TomGuy linked to, and which I had on my preview thread, titled Illegal Diplomacy, makes a damn good case that these people should be facing jail time.

All that is fine with me. How many Italian Catholics will donate to Rudy’s campaign? I am sure a lot. It does not matter, it is their prerogative, I see no problem in any of this. I remember lots of Italians did lots of lobbying when Alito was nominated for Supreme Court Justice. I think Americans are way over being prejudice about the President’s religion, unless he is a Muslim, and you see how fast Osama Obama is running away from any Muslim affiliation to his beliefs.

You always know where Newt is coming from. When talking politics, he is straight conservative brilliance. When he is off camera, I don’t care what he does as long as it is legal. Same with BJ klinton or anyone else.

I do not think he will ever go back to Congress, it is painful I am sure. He also cannot make money in Congress because when he tried to sell his book and make big bucks like others had done, he was fried for it. I can see him as Health and Human Services type of Cabinet Leader. He paved the way for Diabetes Prevention in Health care which has made a big difference. That may be his ultimate goal, who knows?

It is a mirror image of the adulation McCain used to get from the demmedia. Clinton and her party see Rudy as the most serious threat and so the trashing of Rudy has already begun.

Correction. The trashing of all potential Rep candidates has begun.

I saw that, and at first I was surprised because he wants to be Speaker, but now I think this is an all out effort to demoralize our President and Troops. The Rats cannot have The Surge work, and are doing everything they can to keep the pathway for the Bombers in Iraq open. Either Hoyer is as loony as Evita or he is trying to keep up with her for the radical,nutso base.

Chris is the ‘heir apparent’ to Brit, in his eyes. If FOX is stupid enough to put him in as Brits replacement, my viewership is gone. I would rather watch “The Vue”.

My opinion of Fox News is not that they don’t want to offend any liberals, it’s just that they’re so tabloid.

OJ Simpson. Then the Clinton/Lewinsky saga—not the perjury and abuse of office, but the titillation aspects that played into the Clintonistas hands, followed by Chandra Levy, which was only stopped by 9/11. After that wore off (and Darryl Worely was dead on about “Have You Forgotten?”) we were blessed with the never ending story of Scott and Lacey Peterson, then we got another after another sex scandal, murder, blonde girls gone wild whether in the mountains of Utah or the shores of a Caribbean island. I just got so sick of it.

I told my wife there really is only 15-30 minutes of real news a day. The other 23 & 1/2 hours are just repeating the same news and talk, talk, talking about it all day. Since this talk is just opinion I believe we really don’t learn anything except where the speakers stand politically. When they start screaming at each other, reply to good questions with spin and talking points, where they shout and don’t listen, well all this weakens our overall political discourse. In other words it cheapens politics, if that could even be done, and hurts our country.

So the things that were said years ago no longer shock or outrage folks, and the talking heads need to get steamier, racier, nastier, and meaner just to keep an audience.

I rarely if ever watch TV anymore. The last channel I watched regularly was Fox News. But I just couldn't take it. I now use the Internet. Free Republic and Drudge.

And of course, this thread, and Phsstpok’s preview thread. Enough REAL news to satisfy the thirst of the Political Man, without poisoning the well, so to speak!

I agree and I think I will email Brit today and let him know my thoughts on Wallace. He is still the managing editor there.

I noticed that the DBM is trying to cover up for Evita’s sedition by saying she was carrying the same message as the White House. What a crock, nobody in their right mind would fall for that horse manure. They were so in to covering for “Burka Babe’s” sedition that they said said oh lookie here Pubbie Wolf and other Pubbies went also, and are they guilty also? Of course no quotes it is all paraphrasing. This was sickening as hell to me , and if something is not done about Snarling,Wolf,and all the other Pubbie traitors there will be big trouble down the road.
