Those are some insightful, direct and very funny cartoons. I only remember him from the LA Times and always sticking his pen into OUR backs. I wonder what changed with Ramirez? I’m not complaining. I’m happy for him to be right. We need all the help we can get from anybody who appears in print or on a teleprompter

Ramirez used to work here in Memphis before heading West when they let him go here because his stuff was too conservative. He is unafraid to poke fun at anyone in the wrong from either side. As for the man, he still talks on the local talk radio station and seems to still be conservative.

I don’t think he was ever a leftist, are you sure you remember the same guy? LATimes used to have a leftwinger named Conrad who was sometimes talented, but not nearly as much as Ramirez is, but he was a bit earlier.

Poor Neville Pelosi. She can’t even be number one in a cartoon.

Here in Memphis, we really miss seeing Michael’s cartoon’s on a daily basis. You never had to guess what his point was!

I stand, mouth-agape at the shear idiocy of this woman. I mean, there's "stupid" and then there's "Nancy". This woman has raised it to an art form. She has demostrated a level of incompetence and arrogance that is difficult to reconcile within our human limitations. One has to wonder how she even obtained her house seat to begin with. I'm perfectly convinced that it randomly fell from the sky and landed on her head. After all, she seems to exhibit all of the symptoms of a like trauma. What a fool...

She's not stupid nor incompetent. What she's doing is perfectly logical, if you start from the premise that America is evil and trying to take over the world. So, when Nancy and her pals say that George Bush ought to end the war in Iraq, it just reflects their belief that the US is the cause of the war and the US can stop the war. The US is the aggressor, started the war, controls the length of the war and the "insurgents" are simply freedom-fighters fighting against the illegal occupation by America, which has broken their country and killed 600,000 civilians in Iraq.
It all follows. All you have to accept is that America is an imperialist power. The rest is easy.

Good point. Glad my mind doesn't work the same way that hers does, which is to say, mostly not at all. : )

The Logan Act is a United States federal law that forbids unauthorized citizens from negotiating with foreign governments. It was passed in 1799 and last amended in 1994. Violation of the Logan Act is a felony, punishable under federal law with imprisonment of up to three years.
The text of the Act is broad and is addressed at any attempt of a US citizen to conduct foreign relations without authority. However, there is no record of any prosecutions or convictions under the Logan Act.
Thought to ponder.
