Good grief, how many are sick of this? Can you imagine this happening to any other religion in this country?

How about we get rid of that rabbit in the first place?

This whole thing is just rubbish. There's no rabbit in connection with the Resurrection.

But I realize that the United States is not Christian and this rubbish will continue on.

Btw..Happy Resurrection Day!

The Easter bunny is about as Christian as these “educators” apparently are authorities about Christianity and history.

Are you sure is name is not Peter? I always assumes “Easter Bunny” was more of an official title.

Bunnies have nothing to do with the real meaning of Easter.

Christians will soon assume the same status of Jews of Nazi Germany.

Jiminy Cricket! Of all the things school officials could be doing with their time (and our tax dollars) they go after THE EASTER BUNNY?!?

The world’s gone mad.

How ignorant does someone have to be to think that the Easter Bunny is "too Christian"?

If they have the authority to rename stuff, so do I!

YAY!! And I will rename Rhode Island “Pinky von Schnoodle Island” in kind! But why stop there? Let the renaming of all things commence!

This is almost laugh out loud funny. The Easter Bunny is too Christian?

http://www.pitt.edu/~dash/ostara.html
“Christians still attach the name of a heathen goddess to their most sacred holiday: Easter or Ostern.”

“In addition to the name, other popular Easter customs also have heathen origins:

“The belief in the curative properties of water drawn early on Easter morning. These beliefs were common in Germany into the nineteenth century.

“The veneration (if now only playful) of rabbits and hares.

“The decoration of eggs (obvious fertility symbols).”

But I can get that people might object to schools promoting a pagan religion. I mean, they’re not allowed to promote Christianity. Fair is fair.

I wonder if the gel-haired morons at Google will bother to put up an Easter graphic on the home page. I’m on the site now, it’s technically Easter on the east coast (MA) and no dice. Funny, they advertise every commie holiday, must be a glitch in the programming?

“A Rhode Island public school has decided”

How about truth in reporting, for once.

One atheist on the Rhode Island public school board has decided, so that no one is “offended” even though there were no complaints, and everyone else kept their mouth shut for some reason.

Just tell them that Peter was an Apostle of Jesus. That’ll show em!

The Easter Bunny has zero to do with Christianity anyway.

My first thought was that someone was taking their South Park love a little too far. But sadly this person is probably all too serious.
