The lesson of the Clinton years was that laws do not apply to Democrats...there won't be any legal consequences for Miss Syria (as one of the tabloids called her).

Laocoon could be a symbol for George W. Bush--as he tries to warn the country of the danger posed by Islamic terrorism, he is being entwined by serpents sent by Howard Dean's party.

Miss Syria, heh.

Some moonbat on another forum swears to me that Hillary Clinton is going to make sure that Pelosi is at least censured for her trip to Syria, the MSM is jumping all over the Speaker about it.

This latest Democrat action speaks loudly and surely of another infamous appeaser-Neville Chamberlain.

I get tired of the comparisons to poor Neville Chamberlain. It only took him one year to wake up-- between the Munich agreement and Hitler's invasion of Poland. True, he wasn't much of a leader, but at least he eventually smelled the coffee and had the decency to give way to Churchill.

It is not clear that the Logan Act can be made to apply to any elected official, appointed official or other government employee.

After all, they all act in one degree or the other with government authority.

The only way the Logan Act can be made to fit the Nancy woman is if we adopt the UK or Canadian use of the word "government" as if we had a parliamentary system.

I'm not sure anyone wants to start calling the Speaker of the House and her minions "the government". After all, George Bush would no longer be free to engage in diplomacy without the approval of the House of Representatives.
