I don’t know when they became experts, but I do know what a “warning” means from them. Keep doing what you’re doing, ‘cause ain’t sh*t gunna happen.

The game is up on Climate change. They have spent any credibility they had with an extreme overstatement of case. Even if what they say is true (which I don’t believe) they are still insisting on itemizing a list of potential negative consequences of climate change without acknowledging the real probability of some long term positives. The are no different than the religious apocalyptics. Anytime a prediction doesn’t pan out they change their analysis to explain why the negative result is actually even more proof of why they are right. It is pitiful.

As the world gets hotter by degrees,

Not tonight in the middle of Missouri.

Predictions are that the all-time recorded low for April 7 of
25 degrees...will be solidly busted by a low of 19 degrees in
the early morning hours.

And this cold snap will be at least a week long.

If all the polar bears die, that just means more baby seals for us to club.

Someday the will say of Al Gore,
the former divinity school dropout who’s become
the Elmer Gantry of the Global Warming faith:
“He Preyed upon our fears.”
The politicians are selling fear, and they of all people know that fear is the best way to get people to do what you want.

with the risk that nearly a third of the Earth's species will vanish if global temperatures rise just 3.6 degrees above the average temperature in the 1980s-90s, the new climate report says.

It won't make this species vanish. If the max temp in my backyard goes from 115 to 118.6, I don't think I'm going to notice much difference. It's freakin' hot anyway!

I’m not afraid of global warming.

I am afraid of the bread box of the world (us) getting crippled due to fears of global warming.

We can hardly be a global superpower if we’re all focussed on reducing our emissions and carbon “footprints.”

...unless drastic action is taken...

when they get this power for 'drastic action' they'll keep stringing everyone along by saying, "yes the world is still here because we took action, but unless we take even more drastic action we're doomed'

For two years in a row now, the weather in Albuquerque has been so cold that our usual winter golfing has been sporadic. GW will help improve our year-round enjoyment of leisure activities. Otherwise, all this rain and snow is just going to ruin our desert climate.

I assume “drastic action” is defined as filling the coffers of the left with our hard earned tax dollars and giving them even more sway at the ballot box.

Debate, diplomats, bureaucrats.

Three words that shouldn't be in a scientific report.

I have trouble sympathizing as temperatures right now are about 19 degrees BELOW normal and snow flurries fly.

IMHO, global warming and government schools have a lot in common: No matter how much we spend or what we do, it will never, ever be enough to solve the problem.

I can remember in the 1980s when all the “experts” said we’d be dead by 2005 due to overpopulation.
