Those aren't exactly "green" projects. The envirowhackos hate all three of those. Maybe I totally misunderstood the premise of your original comment - or maybe you misunderstood mine.

Gore is unknowingly undermining the environmental movement by proving himself a fraud and a hypocrite, as well as an easy media target. He puts a face to the movement that, til now, has lacked a figurehead. And it's not a very flattering face.

As more and more people figure this out, they will begin to reject the global warming cult and may, in fact, sign off on the energy projects you mention whereas they might otherwise believe the hysteria crowd and think they just need to consume less energy.
