Good Morning To The Canteen!
I went to bed very early...and woke up to see all this beautiful
music to play!
The forecast for tonight is for light rain and sleet and 31
degree temps...Brrr.. We had a shower early this morning.

Good morning, MEG! We have a light dusting of snow on the ground here in DC land this morning. My bareroot roses just arrived in the mail yesterday. I hope to get them planted this weekend. Hope you have a Happy Easter!

Thank you, Conor..you, too! Take pictures and share them when the roses bloom..

I have seen this happen before.. after everything is in bloom..boom..a freeze..

I finally gave in and turned on the heat again.

My neighbor gave me the recipe originally and called it “The Cake That Doesn’t Last”..I recognized it later in a cookbook that called it a “Hummingbird” Cake. The first name fits..I have to freeze part of it quickly to keep from eating it all..!

oh yes it would have helped if i had noticed
that red light on the map.

i would have taken one step into that area and
i would have turned right around to fetch my
bodyguard. ;)

kaltenbrunn, down to nuremberg, west to heidelberg,
back to hammelberg then back to frankfurt.
