The words of Jim Robinson on pushing a liberal like Rino Rudy.

“How many times must I say FR is a conservative site? We do not support abortionism, homosexualism, feminisim, environmentalism, gun control, liberalism, socialism, etc, etc, etc. When I say I suspect we will become even more conservative than we already are, possibly via attrition if nothing else, what do you think I’m referring to? When FR starts pushing hard and I mean hard against abortion, gay marriage, homosexual education forced on our school children, pandering to illegal aliens, gun control, McCaine-Feingold type usurpation, global warming, etc, etc, even if supported or advanced by the GOP, then I fully suspect certain types of moderate/liberal Republican supporters are probably going to be a little uncomfortable here. We will be fighting for traditional American conservatism no matter who we have to fight against and I’m afraid that’s going to piss off some folks.”

Jim Robinson, 3/2/07

The anti Rudy's were too slow on the throttle to deliver this little punch, so I will do it for them. When one clicks the link, after the poll numbers, at the end is this little note:

Source: RT Strategies / Cook Political Report Methodology: Telephone interviews with 290 Democrats and Democratic leaners, conducted from Mar. 29 to Apr. 1, 2007. Margin of error is 5.8 per cent.

Democrats like Rudy better than the other Pubbies. Who knew? :)

Areafiftyone is certainly not a liberal. Does it not occur to you people that there are many kinds of conservatives: Fiscal, law and order, social, etc.?

Areafiftyone: I’m thinking that those people who are not putting national security first but instead focusing exclusively on social issues should be called liberals. After all, they aren’t OUR kind of conservative and turn about is fair play, is it not?

I have a new policy of putting a few of those people on my ignore list unless they lie about me in some manner that is just too egregious to ignore. After all, President Bush has let the left lie about him for years and it hasn’t done him any good whatsoever so there is a limit to my patience. LOL

I'm conservative across the board. I've been all over Bush and the Republicans for spending money and expanding government.

And, and because I am, I oppose a liberal like Giuliani, who is only conservative on TWO issues while radically liberal on virtually every other.

It's disgraceful any conservative could have such little principles as support a candidate that is 80%-plus liberal. And, even more disgraceful knowing how such a nominee would tear apart the Republican and conservative base.

I like it.
Interesting though that Rudy has gone up (+2) between polls and McCain went down (-6), Romney went down (-4), and Thompson enters at 10% the sum of their losses. I’d be worried if I were McCain or Romney if Thompson enters the race.

80% liberal? You know what's disgraceful? That you know so little about Rudy that you think he's 80% liberal. He's a social liberal but he's a fiscal and law and order conservative.

Name one thing other than taxes and national security/law and order that Giuliani doesn't have a liberal record on.

Giuliani is:

Pro-abortion

Pro-Homosexual agenda

Anti-Second Amendment

Pro man-made global warming

Pro illegal immigration

Some that appointed liberal judges by an 8-1 ratio in New York

Pro McCain-Feingold

Against school choice

A big government Republican that spent so much money that New York had the largest debt in the nation other than Federal deficit

For minimum wage increases

He's a social liberal but he's a fiscal and law and order conservative.,p>I think the question should be, "If elected, will Rudy be a social liberal activist?"

All the anti-rudy's will post his past actions and proclaim, "Yes, Yes!".

They continue to ignore what Rudy said about 9/11 - "Priorities have changed". That and the fact that he'd be President of the United States, not Mayor of New York.

Rudy loses on National Security and Law and Order when he’s trying to disarm the American People.

The next time you’re in a shopping mall, take a good look around you and think about someone getting Sudden Jihad Syndrome. Think about what you could do to prevent it.

Rudy is completely against you doing anything about it except to die like the rest.

There was no gaffe. This is about his recent comments on abortion. The liberals and their waterboys on the far far right are trying to turn it into a “gaffe.”

I live in NYC - I think more about tall buildings being taken down rather than shopping malls in suburbs. Nothing can be done to prevent it. The next hit will be another major city not a shopping mall it will be in a subway system or a building. There are millions of people there and the damage is worse.

It seems the ultra conservatives have forgotten 9/11 just like the Ultra Left - Out of sight out of mind.

Sorry, forgot a sarcasm label. I’m one of the good guys and believe these comments about gaffes are silly rantings of the day by the anti-Rudy people.
